However in 2019 it became free and is expected to remain to during the construction works of the hospital extention above the car park. Inaugurated in December 1993, the hospital is run by Agencia Sanitaria Costa del Sol a public company on behalf of the (SAS) Andalucian Health Service. The Costa del Sol Hospital, on the main A-7 coast road 7km east of Marbella center, is one of the best-equipped hospitals in Spain.
